INFORMATION REGARDING THE FIRST 6 WEEKS
Good Morning to all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus!!!
My family and I would like to take this time and thank you for making this move to the Riverdale area one of our better decisions. I have been impressed with the fellowship of the believers here, the motivation to serve King Jesus, and the zeal to reach out to those who know not God and have obeyed not the gospel of Jesus Christ. A lot of good has been happening as a result of this newly formed union and our renewed commitment to please God.
The elders in due time will inform the congregation of things they will be instituting in an effort to keep us scripturally organized, to keep us committed to total service, and to keep us away from dysfunction. However, there are some things which are happening right now, we need to not only take notice of, but we need to get involved in the process.
REMEMBER THE VISION
The vision is to remain a church of Christ in this community until Jesus comes again (Revelation 2:10). The vision is to grow gradually spiritually, numerically, and financially (2 Peter 3:18, Acts 2:47, and 1 Corinthians 16:2). The vision is to talk about how far we have come 75 years from now, knowing nothing is too hard for God (Matthew 19:26).
CALL & HELP CONTRIBUTE TO BIBLE MOMENTS
Bible Moments is a motivational and outreach tool provided by the Wildercroft church to give maximum truth in minimum time. The Bible Moment is only about 2-3 minutes in length and it is now updated weekly (every Thursday morning). The phone number to Bible Moments is (301) 345-1240. We are looking for some young men to also get involved and provide a recording for Bible Moments.

If you have not noticed, brother Michael Myrick has made some significant changes to the website. Log on and see the changes made to our website. We have all NEW content in the Articles section of the site: Bulletin Articles, Bible Moments Transcripts, etc. If you have a talent in writing i.e. brothers, sisters, and young people, then we can use your knowledge of the scriptures to build up the content of our website. As members of this congregation, we need to start utilizing this website as a one stop shop for information regarding the local church. Currently, we have the worship assignment list and the grass cutting schedule on the site. Finally, we are looking to institute the following on the website: Download recordings of all Sunday Messages, Download recordings of all Bible Moments, and an Interactive Children’s Section (games, lessons, and children singing spiritual songs).
MAXIMIZE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES
I am looking to meet with the following groups in the immediate future to talk about your individual talents and discuss ways we can scripturally serve God through our commitment in the local church: The Women, Those Of Us Who Are Single, The Youth, & Those Of Us Who Can Speak, Interpret, And/Or Want To Learn Spanish.
