What Is A Relationship? - Part 3 (Why We Need A Relationship With God)
We need a relationship with God. But my question is “Why?” It is because to sin is so human, but to forgive is so divine. Humanity doesn’t need sin, but rather, we need deliverance from sin & only a right relationship with God through Christ can do this.
We need a relationship with God because it is only through a right relationship with God can we be delivered from our oppressors (Psalm 17:8-9).
We need a relationship with God because it is only through a right relationship with Christ can we live & reign with Him. A poor relationship with Christ begins & ends with faithlessness & being denied by Him (2 Timothy 2:11-13).
We need a relationship with God because it is only through a right relationship with Christ can we all become one in Him. It is through this connection Jesus is not ashamed to call us His brethren. Only by our affiliation with God, we can experience freedom from fear & the bondage of sin. It is through our kinship with Christ Jesus that we can receive help from Him (Hebrews 2:11-16). As Christians, we are the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:16)!
